Frequently asked questions.

Everything Bangalore clients ask us before booking — events we cover, cuisines, lead time, tastings and cancellations.

What types of events do you cater to?

Sukhdev Caterers, the best caterers in Bangalore, cater to a wide range of events — weddings, corporate events, private parties, birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, house-warmings and more.

What cuisines do you specialize in?

Our culinary team is versatile and skilled in preparing a variety of pure-vegetarian cuisines including North Indian, South Indian, Continental, Italian, Mexican, Chinese and Thai. We're always open to accommodating specific cuisine requests.

How far in advance should I book your catering services?

We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date and ensure availability. Generally, booking at least 2–3 months in advance is advisable, especially for larger events during peak wedding and festive seasons.

Do you provide tastings before booking?

Yes — we offer tastings for clients to sample our offerings and finalize their menu. Tastings are scheduled after the initial consultation and are subject to availability. A tasting is provided for a minimum of 10 members and is chargeable. Alternatively, clients can visit our live event spot to sample the food.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy depends on the circumstances at the time of cancellation. We understand unexpected situations and strive to be flexible whenever possible. However, we deduct or do not return the advance amount if the event is cancelled a day prior. Clients should keep us posted at least 4 to 5 days in advance for any changes or cancellations. Please refer to your booking contract or contact us directly for more details.

Booking terms

Terms & conditions.

Applies to all catering bookings with Sukhdev Caterers, Bangalore. By paying an advance or signing a booking form, you agree to the following.

1. Bookings & confirmation

A booking is confirmed only after a signed booking form and advance deposit (typically 25% of the estimated invoice) are received. Dates are held on first-come, first-served basis and are not reserved on verbal enquiries.

2. Menu, guest count & service format

Final menu, guest count and service format can be amended up to 7 days before the event. Changes after that window are accommodated where possible but may incur additional charges. A ±5% variance in guest count on the event day is included; beyond that is billed at the agreed per-plate rate.

3. Payment terms

Balance payment is due on or before the event day. GST-compliant invoicing is standard. We accept UPI, bank transfer, cash and credit card. Advance deposits are non-refundable but adjustable towards a rescheduled date within 90 days, subject to availability.

4. Cancellation policy

Cancellations must be communicated at least 4–5 days prior to the event. If the event is cancelled a day prior (within 24 hours), the advance amount is fully deducted / non-refundable. For cancellations 2–3 days prior, deductions apply based on procurement and staffing already committed. We strive to be flexible for genuine emergencies — please contact us directly.

5. Tasting sessions

Tastings are offered after an initial consultation, for a minimum of 10 members, and are chargeable. Alternatively, clients are welcome to visit our live event spot to sample the food at no additional cost.

6. Venue, access & logistics

The client is responsible for providing timely access to the venue for setup (typically 4–6 hours before service), power, water, waste disposal and parking for our team and vehicles. Any restrictions imposed by the venue that impact service must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance.

7. Food safety & liability

Sukhdev Caterers is FSSAI licensed and follows strict food-safety, hygiene and cold-chain protocols. Our liability is limited to the value of the invoice for the affected event. We are not liable for delays or losses caused by force majeure, venue restrictions, guest-supplied food or third-party vendors.

8. Leftover food

For food-safety reasons, leftover cooked food that has been on service beyond 2 hours cannot be packed or reused. Unused, un-plated inventory can be discussed with the event captain on-site.

9. Photography & references

Unless the client opts out in writing, we may photograph our setups and dishes at your event for our portfolio and social channels. Guest images are never shared without consent.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
